Today, I exported many HL7 messages out of Mirth Connect.
No matter what I did, I couldn’t get Mirth to put all the messages into one file
I had to figure out a way to combine these files, so I could analyze them with my favorite HL7 Viewer: Interface Explorer.
Surprisingly, I discovered Microsoft Word does this easily!!!
Here’s how it looks in MS Word – combined multiple files into one document!
To save this document as HL7 text file,
- File > Save As
- Save as type: Plain Text
- Click Save.
If you get File Conversion popup…(update: don’t click “insert line breaks”)
Click Insert line breaks
- Click OK
You now have one file with all your HL7 files exported out of Mirth!
Here’s how the MSH.txt file looks in Interface Explorer.
